The Frankfurt/Germany "Messeturm" at the exhibition centre
MesseTurm is a skyscraper located in Frankfurt, Germany. Its name translates as 'Fair Tower'. MesseTurm is directly located in the Frankfurt Trade Fair grounds. Design architect was Helmut Jahn. The MesseTurm was the tallest building in Europe from its completion in 1990 until 1997, when it was eclipsed by the Commerzbank Tower also in Frankfurt, then in 2003 by the Triumph-Palace in Moscow. Used as an office building, it is 257 meters (843 feet) tall and has 63 floors.

CeBIT (Hanover, Germany)
The CeBIT is the world's largest computer expo. It is held each spring on the world's largest fairground in Hanover, Germany, and is a barometer of the state of the art in information technology.
With an exhibition area of roughly 450,000 m2 (5 million ft2) and up to 700,000 visitors, it is larger than COMPUTEX and the no-longer held COMDEX.
The 2006 CeBIT expo, with an attendance of roughly 430,000, was held from 9 March to 15 March, 2006. It had more than 6,200 exhibitors from around 70 countries all over the world.

Frankfurt Book Fair (Frankfurt am Main, Germany)
The Frankfurt Book Fair (German: Frankfurter Buchmesse) is the world's largest trade fair for books, held annually in mid-October in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Representatives from book publishing and multimedia companies from all over the world come to the Frankfurt Book Fair in order to negotiate international publishing rights and licensing fees. The fair is organised by a subsidiary company of the German Publishers and Booksellers Association and takes place every October.
It is claimed to be the largest in the world, and for five days more than 7,000 exhibitors from over 100 countries and more than 286,000 visitors take part. It is certainly the most important book fair in the world for international deals and trading, though Turin International Book Fair overcame it by receiving more than 300,000 visitors in 2006 and 2007.

Hanover Fair (Hanover, Germany)
The Hannover Messe (English: Hanover Fair) is the world's biggest industrial fair. It is held on the Hanover fairground in Hanover, Germany. Typically, there are about 6,000 exhibitors and 200,000 visitors.
The Hannover Messe started in 1947 in an undamaged factory building in Laatzen, south of Hanover, by an arrangement of the British military government in order to boost the economical advancement in post-war Germany. The first fair was colloquially known as Fischbrötchenmesse (fish bun fair) due to the exemptions in food rationing for the fair at this time. It proved hugely successful and was hence repeated on a yearly basis, contributing largely to the success of the Hanover fairground in replacing the then-East German city of Leipzig as the new major fair city for West Germany.
In the 1980s, growing information and telecommunication industry forced the organiser Deutsche Messe AG to split the fair. The CeBIT is a successful spin-off of the Hannover Messe. Nowadays, the Hanover Fair covers all areas of industrial technology.

IAA (Frankfurt Motor Show - Frankfurt, Germany)
The International Motor Show or Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA) is the world's largest motor show. Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung is held biennially in Frankfurt, Germany and is known in English as the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The IAA is organized by the Association of the German Automotive Industry (VDA). Since 1992 the show is split in two: Even numbered years show commercial cars in Hannover and odd numbered years passenger vehicles (including some motorcycles) in Frankfurt.
The show is scheduled by the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles, which considers it a major international auto show.

Salone del Mobile (Milan, Italy)
The Salone del Mobile Internazionale is the International Furniture Fair of Milan, the largest and most anticipated trade fair of its kind.
It is renowned as the leading exposition for new products by furniture manufacturers and designers and is covered by most leading design periodicals.
The Salone del Mobile Internazionale is held every year, usually in March, in the FieraMilano complex in the Milan metropolitan area town of Rho.
